Along the Taff
Along the Taff was created to capture those fleeting encounters with birds along the Taff Trail - the sudden movement between branches, the brief glimpse of a feather, the sense of something passing overhead.

Long lengths of repurposed linen and cotton hang from a large fallen twig gathered from the Taff Trail. Each strip carries an abstract interpretation of a bird's feather, either digitally embroidered or screen printed onto the cloth.

Interspersed between the textiles are fragments of reclaimed copper, catching the light as the piece moves gently in the air.

Suspended from a natural branch, the work is deliberately fluid and changing, shifting with the air and revealing different colours, textures and patterns as it moves.
